Faultline Productions

I'm back from Oregon where Kuze, MC Child and myself mashed up Portland and Bend. It was a blast and the gigs went off like a riot- check out the photos on my Flickr or the galleries here and here. Respects to all OR crew!

Getting back to business here in the bay, I'm at Phuturo tonight with my buds Genome, Method One and MC Duh.

And this Saturday is our next big night at Anu featuring an exclusive appearance by Rohan from the Bassbin label in Ireland. Some of you might have caught him at SOMA Sessions with DJ Flight in April 2004. This guy is one of my top-rated DJs and his label was my favorite in 2005... and this show is FREE as usual.. nuff said.

From its humble origins in 2000 as an outlet for Irish Drum & Bass artists like Beta 2, Zero Tolerance and Naphta, the Bassbin imprint has grown in leaps and bounds and is now home to top artists like Breakage, Digital, Calibre, Equinox, Seba & Paradox, Cartridge, Random Movement and Fracture & Neptune. Over time Rohan also launched a sister label "Breakin'" a more jump-up imprint "Looney Toonz" and a downtempo outlet "Solas."

Bassbin tunes can be instantly recognized for their dub-heavy influence and roller vibes, and are charted by leading DJs across the boards. 2005 was a big year for the label as the "Rare Grooves" compilation LP dropped with scorchers like Skitty's "Sweet Vibrations" and Calibre "Can't Stop this Fire." A string of 12"s followed with bangers like Random Movement "Struggle to the Grave," Breakage's amen smasher "Ask Me," and Seba & Paradox's "Frost" (featured on 2K Sports "NBA 2K6" for PS2 & Xbox.)

Moving into 2006, the pressure is only getting higher with no fewer than three new Bassbin singles about to hit the streets. Rohan, an excellent producer in his own right, also just released a 12" with Basic Operations- "My Brother / Fire House" on Digital's Shout Records.

Rohan has previously torn up Bay Area crowds at SOMA Sessions and Phuturo... we're proud to welcome him back to SF for another storming session!!
