I can't believe it's already Halloween. This Saturday we return to The Otherworld for their annual bash, this time featuring Meat Beat Manifesto live and many more- including myself- over five rooms of sound.
Save some juice for next weekend because we have the legendary Big Bud in SF for the first time ever! This is so long overdue it hurts. The man is responsible for some of my favorite tunes on Bukem's Good Looking label from back in the day and he's still going strong. Don't sleep on two parties Saturday night featuring Bud, Basic Operations, Kuze, myself and more. One is even free!
Last thing, I just did a half-hour minimix for my friend Greg/GBA's podcast, the letter g. Grab it there or get a clean studio copy and tracklist on the Faultline site. I'm also hosting Future Breaks FM quite a bit these days so tune in every Saturday from 4-6!
peace- DJ M

Big Bud & Basic Operations

The mighty Big Bud touches down in the USA for the first time, and we're happy to bring him to SF along with breakthrough talents, Basic Operations. You may know Big Bud from his classic Bukem-era jungle tunes all the way through to his 2005 album, "Fear of Flying," which covers ground from Drum & Bass to Dub. Basic Ops are a stateside trio making waves with hot 12"s like "Sound Killah" and "Erasoul" on established labels including Renegade, Advanced and the Bay's own Phuturo.
